  • My boyfriend Cody Perkins- Cody lives here in Utah and works for the family business called Inesco. He started racing when he was 8 years old and currently runs a Top Alcohol Dragster with the 801 racing team. He received his degree up at The University of Utah for Mechanical Engineering. Cody and I had our first date on 1/2/2012 and became an official couple on 2/22/12. We love to spend as much time together as possible. We are always trying to find something new to try or do. Currently we are planning on hiking to Havasu Falls in September, traveling to Isla Mujeres Mexico in December and Puerto Vallarta Mexico in February 2013. I am sure we will have more adventures planned here shortly but for right now we are just enjoying the time we are together when he is not out racing. I am such a lucky girl to have met this wonderful man.
  • Kaylee and Arianna- They had their birthdays in March and unfortunately the party didn' turn out as planned. There were alot of people planning on going but then decided to not show or cancelled at the last minute. I was deeply saddened by the support of my family and friends. It really frustrates you when you go out of your way to help other people or be there for them when they don't do anything in return. It really proves who really matters in life. Next year I am taking the girls possibly on the Disney Cruise for their birthdays! I am so excited and I am sure they will be when they find out.
  • WE MOVED! Yes that is right... The girls and I found a cute townhouse to move into and we absolutely LOVE it there. It is so adorable inside and we have enough room to run around. Outside our backyard there is a mini park and a swimming pool. We are ecstatic for the summer time! The majority of my tax return this year went towards the new place and furniture.

Currently we are going through a big change within the company. We are being taken over by a corporate company. From the words of my managers it should be a good change. There will be benefits that were not offered here before and it will give us an opportunity to learn and grow more.

I have decided to erase all of my old blogs on here and start with a new clean slate. That is how I am currently viewing my life as well. I have a strong feeling that 2012 is going to be a fun/exciting/eventful year. These past few years have been quite a struggle and I am ready to face any issues and conquer them with the best abilities I am capable of. Let's play catch up...

2011-- This year had many twists/turns, ups/downs, and surprisingly we made it through.

HARDEST TIME OF THE YEAR--The girls' father(my estranged husband) passed away on November 18, 2011. I had so many thoughts running through my head when I found out the following day. Bryce was the first man I loved and the father to my children. I was given this information over the phone and that was the most shocking phone call of my life. My first thought was that it wasn't true. Then the emotions sent me over the edge and I could barely even look at my children. I had decided to wait on telling them because I couldn't think about how I would. I told them on Sunday but surprisingly they took it very well... Especially considering they are almost 4 and 2. My oldest Kaylee doesn't quite know what death means and Arianna has absolutely no idea what I am talking about. It took a few weeks for Kaylee to know that she would no longer speak or see her father again. Every once in a while I think about what could have been if things happened differently but I see everything now that it all happens for a reason. I will miss him and I hate the fact that the girls don't have a father at all anymore. Someday though we will find someone. <3

HOCKEY!-- I LOVE Hockey now! My aunt Julie had invited me to go with her and I fell in love with the sport. I have been tracking the games and listening to them even when they are away. I have never gotten so much into a sport as much as I have with hockey. Hockey is now my number 1 favorite sport and the second would be football. I actually enrolled Kaylee into ice skating lessons in 2011 to start getting her to like the ice. (who knows... maybe she will want to do hockey.. or figure skating??)

Work-- In October I received a wonderful promotion through the company I work for. I am so glad that after 3 years of working for them they have seen the dedication and determination to take over a management position. I now am the Respiratory Account Manager for The Sleep Institute of Utah. I am excited to see what will be in store for 2012 and accomplish more this year than I ever have before.

Kaylee & Arianna-- Kaylee still acted the same throughout the whole year. She will never try any new foods and has the worst attitude. I know that I give in WAY too much when it comes to this little girl. Let's face it though.. She was my first child, the first grandchild and niece to our family and she is cuter than the button everyone talks about. Arianna will eat anything and EVERYTHING that comes into contact with her hands so we have to be extra careful what we leave lying around. She is alot different than Kaylee and has such a happy and upbeat personality. She has to hug everyone, say hello and goodbye to everyone, and when I tell her to do something she just says "OKAY" in the cutest voice. She is also well mannered. She will say please when she wants something and always says thank you (often times more than once).

Myself-- Besides work and taking care of the girls I can say that 2011 wasn't too bad of a year for myself. The key points of my year were:
  •      Celebrated my 21st birthday with a BANG in sin city a.k.a. LAS VEGAS with my closest/longest known best friend(aunt) Jen. That was one of the best vacations we had together. We had been upgraded with our hotel for our birthdays and stayed in Vdara on the 42nd floor with view of the Bellagio fountains(FANTASTIC HOTEL.. I highly recommend). We treated ourselves to many refreshments and delicious food. Met a few awkward randoms... especially the french man that barely knew English. Hung out with some friends of ours, tried to learn how to gamble, and now we are left with that fun memorable 21st birthday. I don't think we could have had a better 21st birthday.
  • I dated a few idiots throughout the year... We will leave this topic alone.
  • My work promotion couldn't have come at a better time. I feel so relieved that they realize I have a wonderful potential to build this business up.
  • I had found out that I had benign breast tumors and pretty much was told that I shouldn't worry about them. The physician feels that I shouldn't have to return for another mammogram until I am 40!
Now that we have gotten alot of things out of the way of 2011... I can't wait to live through 2012. This year I have a few goals I want to accomplish and everyday I am getting closer and closer to working through them. The girls will be 4 and 2 in March.. The years are flying by. I really can't wait until Arianna is out of diapers and hopefully this year Kaylee will eat something new and actually enjoy it!! Let's bring on the fun of 2012....

Love, Krista
